Some research studies have found positive effects for hypnotherapy, particularly in areas such as anxiety, pain management and irritable bowel syndrome.
As with most mind–body approaches, creating large-scale, scientifically controlled studies is difficult and often not well funded. As a result, the research base is still developing and many findings come from smaller clinical trials or case studies rather than large cohorts.
That does not mean hypnotherapy cannot help with {condition}. Beyond formal research, there is extensive testimonial and clinical evidence from practitioners and clients who have experienced meaningful improvements through this approach.
