Let me explain my approach through a story…

A woman comes to me suffering with unexplained digestive distress, intense anxiety and a general feeling of not having agency in her own life.

She was blocked from doing the things she really cared about and struggled to stop habits which were damaging her health.

Hypnotherapy was her last-chance saloon–as it is for many who try it, and she was worried I might try to change her in some way against her will, or that she would be unhypnotisable (not a thing–in my experience).

Hypnotherapy has many styles, from someone reading off a script, barely looking at you (sadly, too common), to visualisations while in a deeply relaxed state.

My style differs from what you’d imagine when you think about hypnotherapy. It’s called Advanced Conversational Hypnotherapy, and it involves speaking to you normally, but as the conversation progresses, I spot small moments where you are retrieving unconscious information – using eye-accessing and other somatic or linguistic changes.

You gradually go into a state of hypnosis, but continue speaking at your own pace. I help guide you into the unconscious knots that are holding your issues in place, and they often seem to dissolve in moments, even when they’ve lasted for decades.

This lady had been encircling her real problems like a gravitational orbit, totally controlled by them without ever making contact.

Prior to her session, she had been on a health quest, trying every supplement, doctor and alternative therapy out there. I was next on her list, but she was exhausted from trying so much, lacking real trust or belief, and tired of that feeling of something being in the way of experiencing life fully.

After the session, she sent me this note:

hypnosis testimonialAt my next check-in, she reported having resumed painting, a passion of hers she had long ago stopped due to the intense pressure she felt to perform. Her digestion was rapidly improving, and she had stopped comfort eating at night. The triggers which had been causing near constant anxiety somehow seemed…less important.

Is hypnotherapy magic? I feel like it is, and I am profoundly grateful for having discovered something so unlikely and so hidden in plain sight. But in reality, we all have knots blocking us, creating orbiting patterns, avoidance, addictions, pains, exhaustion and despair. It’s not magic, it’s just interacting with the knots in a new way.

I want to do my little piece to relieve the world of some of these knots. Do me the honour of trusting me to be your guide, and I promise I will do my best to pay back the trust I know is needed to take that first step.

How It Works

Mapping Old Patterns

We start by identifying the automatic thoughts, habits, and behaviors that contribute to your stress and anxiety and challenging the root-cause assumptions behind these habits.

Rewiring Damaging Habits

Using neuroplasticity-based techniques inspired by CBT, we’ll strengthen new pathways that support calm, focused, and positive responses.

Ongoing Integration

Our work doesn’t end with each session. Brain Retraining is built to be applied and reinforced in your daily life, helping you solidify these changes.
