What are the most common forms of anxiety among entrepreneurs?
Based on a recent research project we undertook to analyse the most common forms of anxiety among business owners, we found the following:
1. Fear of failure: this seems to be almost universal, but when it gets out of control it can actually create failure due to the crippling fear of taking action.
#2. Marketing and sales anxiety: This applied especially to social media and sales calls, which really expose you to criticism from others.
#2. Anxiety about recurring revenue: This isn’t just about the money, when you have to find totally new customers each money, it creates a lot of operational drag on a business and can create massive anxiety.
4. Financial anxiety: Pretty obvious, but not making enough money features in most business owners’ lists of anxieties.
5. Impostor syndrome: Feeling like a fake when you are doing new and challenging tasks on a daily basis is very common. For some people, however, it can really reduce their performance and their ability to take calculated risks.

How can business owners manage anxiety?
While a lot of people recommend diet and lifestyle changes for business owners managing anxiety, I have found the single most effective approach to be Brain Retraining – a neuroplasticity approach based on hypnotherapy.
The CBT model of hypnotherapy I adopt sees anxiety as a stuck loop generating a fear response in the brain.
It isn’t part of you.
It isn’t “just your personality”
It’s a behaviour. It’s learned. You can unlearn it (quickly).
If in doubt, just head to the testimonials section.
